Fara are from the Orkney Islands where they developed their distinctive, versatile and sophisticated style, combining three fiddles with piano and vocals. Their current line-up features new pianist Rory Matheson, heard on their most recent album Energy Islands which was inspired by the beauty of the wild Orkney landscape and the extraordinary way in which the environment has been used to create green energy.
