Girton Musical Theatre is an active group of singers, musicians and backstage crew who perform a fully staged production of a musical show, complete with orchestra, every year.

This year’s performance is set in the Tower of London in the year 1540. The hero, Colonel Fairfax, is a war hero who has been falsely accused of sorcery - a crime punishable by death! The Sergeant and his daughter hatch a plan to rescue the Colonel by disguising him as one of the Yeomen of the Guard. Meanwhile, a couple of travelling minstrels arrive and get caught up in the prisoner's disappearance.

This is a much-loved operetta, with songs which range from the jolly "I have a song to sing-o" to the dramatic "When our gallant Norman foes".

Bring the family along for an evening of theatre, fun and local talent.
