The Shelford Festival and Feast
This annual village celebration continues a proud tradition of bringing the community together for a week of fun while raising money for local good causes.
Taking place over a full week, the festival offers a packed programme of live music, comedy, family entertainment, great food and drink, all underpinned by a strong sense of local community.
The festivities begin on Friday evening, with Pixie Lott opening the celebrations, supported by Áine Deane.
On Saturday, the ever‑popular Beer Festival opens, featuring over 30 different beers and ciders, along with live music throughout the afternoon. Food will be available from the Feast food tent as well as a selection of local food vendors.
Saturday evening continues the celebrations with Trevor Nelson, Radio 2’s afternoon show host and award‑winning DJ, renowned worldwide for his championing of R&B music.
Feast Day on Sunday starts at midday and is a fantastic family‑friendly day out, featuring displays from local groups, stalls, bouncy castles, live music throughout the afternoon, and plenty of food and drink.
Entertainment continues into the following week with drama performances, concerts and a quiz night. On Wednesday, the legendary comedy night returns, headlined by Milton Jones, promising a side‑splitting evening of top‑class comedy.
This year’s Feast closes with the fantastic cover band Back to the 80s, supported by What’s Next.
