There will not be an interval during the show, the reading ends at 4pm. There is an accessible toilet at the Granary.
Wendy Cope's witty lyrics and pitch-perfect parodies have gained her a readership beyond many of her peers. Her first book of poetry, Making Cocoa for Kingsley Amis, was published in 1986, sold tens of thousands of copies in the UK and revealed Cope’s remarkable talents for parody, word play and the use of humour to address grave topics.
Her work has won awards on both sides of the Atlantic and in 2010 she was appointed OBE for services to literature.
