St John the Baptist Church is a distinctive Victorian chequerboard church of limestone and knapped flint, built on a medieval site. There is at least one doorway of 14th century date, the tower arch of c. 1530, and the four lion grotesques below the tower may have all been reused from the earlier building. The tower dates from 1848 and the rest of the church from 1854.

The stained glass window features Noah's Ark. The church has been redundant and in care of the Friends of Friendless Churches since 1979 and is also used as a local community centre.
