A Portrait of Rebecca Clarke performed by Pixels Ensemble

An internationally renowned viola player and chamber musician, Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979) is recognised as one of the most inventive and individual English composers of the last century with an output ranging from playful folk arrangements to dark, pagan-inspired instrumental pieces.

In this programme, Pixels Ensemble showcases the variety and sophistication of this passionate and independent composer.

Pixels Ensemble was created in 2016 by pianist Ian Buckle, drawing together some of the finest chamber musicians, orchestra principals and soloists in the UK.
