The talk will take place in the Foyer Bar.
"A Record of Shelford Parva" is the first dedicated history book of Little Shelford, created by village grandee Fanny Wale over 11 years (1908-1919). Filled with facts, gossip, lists, music, maps and stunning illustrations, the book tells the story of a small south Cambridgeshire village through the lens of Edwardian society.
To mark the publication of a new facsimile paperback edition of the book, Stapleford Granary have created a print exhibition and will support the publication through this public talk and visitor guides.
At this event, David Martin, villager and Chair of Little Shelford Local History Group will discuss his role in the 2013 and 2025 publications with Kate Romano, Chief Executive and Artistic Director at The Granary.
The exhibition features framed prints of Fanny Wale’s illustrations and one original painting, generously loaned by the Wale family and is available to view on the cafe gallery wall at Stapleford Granary from 26 June to 26 August.
