Alice Zawadzki, Fred Thomas & Misha Mullov-Abbado in Concert

Alice Zawadzki is a singer, violinist and composer. Born in 1985 to an English linguist mother and a Polish historian father, her music sits loosely within the jazz world but in its own unique space. Critics describe her style as a rich mix of influences from contemporary classical music, jazz, art‑pop and folk.

Her 2024 album Za Górami features long‑time collaborators Fred Thomas on piano, drums, and vielle, and Misha Mullov Abbado on double bass. The album brings together folk song, chamber music, jazz and improvisation into a single, immersive sound world. In a 2023 live review, London Jazz News called the trio a “supergroup” known for their mesmerising intensity.
