Equally at home as accompanist or melody player, Anna Massie is one of folk's foremost guitarists. A skilled multi-instrumentalist renowned for her work with Blazin’ Fiddles and RANT, she is a four-time nominee for Best Instrumentalist at the Scots Trad Music Awards, winner of the Trad Music in the Media award for her Black Isle Correspondent work (2021) and 2022 Producer of the Year. She was Scottish Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2003.

Her second solo album - Two Down (March 2024) - features songs which are bitter-sweet, poignant, uplifting and beautifully characterised. With a totally engaging stage persona, witty and self-deprecating, Anna draws on traditional music, everyday experiences and family life to create a body of work described as 'a welcome fresh breath.. a delight' and 'a hidden gem' by Folkworks.
