The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey are running a different theme each week of the Summer Holidays. The first of these is Archaeology Week, where visitors are invited to try their hand at being a mini archaeologist.

A replica archaeological dig site will be set up for children to uncover treasures, as well as craft activities themed around archaeology – including the opportunity to make their own fossil impressions from clay.

Combine your visit with a refreshment stop at The Docky Box Cafe where you will find a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks, sandwiches and ice creams available, plus plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The museum will also be open.

Craft activities are free, but donations to the museum are welcome to cover the cost of materials.
