This latest exhibition at gallery above & beyond celebrates the work of Julia Ball — a much-loved local artist and teacher. Julia lived and worked in Cambridge from the early 1960s until her death in 2025 at the age of 94.

She continued working up to the end of her long life and this exhibition showcases the variety, eclecticism and originality of her wide-ranging work. Throughout it all, though, runs a deep respect for the natural world which she frequently sought to capture from her favourite place, the quiet waters at Quy Fen.

After visiting the exhibition take the opportunity to check out Etcetera, a collection of vintage and collectibles housed in the Green Barn behind the gallery.
