Visit two contrasting gardens in Bassingbourn, open under one admission.
Mill House in Brook Road is a four-acre traditional English garden and features herbaceous borders, rose and lily beds, a pond with stream and rock garden, as well as alpines, acers and dwarf conifers. Raised seating areas offer views over open countryside, alongside specimen trees, a lime avenue and a productive vegetable garden. Home-made teas will be available.
Also open is Mill House in Fen Road, a beautifully designed garden divided into a series of formal and informal spaces, showcasing rare trees, shrubs, herbaceous planting and topiary, with lovely elevated countryside views.
One ticket covers both gardens, although they are not within walking distance.
This open garden event is held in aid of the National Garden Scheme, raising money for a range of nursing and health charities, so every visit helps support a meaningful cause while you enjoy the beauty of these private gardens.
