Journey to the summer of 1940 at the Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show for a special event marking 90 years since the first flight of the Spitfire prototype and the birth of this iconic aircraft.  

Set within the historic grounds and airfield where the Spitfire first flew, this action-packed weekend invites you on a weekend of discovery through its sights and sounds as Spitfires, Hurricanes, and more soar overhead.

It’s summer 1940 on the ground too, with live music, a traditional steam fair, and living history groups evoking the spirit of the era, plus museum exhibitions and hangars, full of aircraft from the Second World War through to today.
