There will not be an interval during the performance.
EXAUDI mark the 400th anniversary of the death of John Dowland with a rich programme centred on his lute songs, both in their original guise for solo voice and in his own arrangements for four voices. Alongside these they sing madrigals by his contemporary Thomas Morley, together with present-day responses and reflections on his music, culminating in the dramatic and moving Song by Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, based on Dowland's famous Flow my tears.
EXAUDI is one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles. Founded in 2002 in London, it brings together some of the UK’s top singers, specialising in cutting-edge contemporary vocal repertory alongside their well-known mastery of early music.
Pre-concert food will be available to purchase. Ticket holders will be sent an email a week before the date of the concert with details of the menu and information on ordering.
