Celebrate Guy Fawkes Night with a spectacular family-friendly evening at IWM Duxford. Visitors can enjoy fairground rides 🎠, food stalls 🍔, hangar access 🛩️, and aircraft engine runs on the historic airfield.
Before the fireworks display lights up the night sky ✨, guests will witness a recreation of FIDO (Fog Investigation and Dispersal Operation), the wartime system used to clear fog from airfields. A dramatic line of flames along the runway will recreate this historic aviation innovation, with the Aircraft Restoration Company's Bristol Blenheim Mk IF taking centre stage.

Visitors can book premium photography packages. Get early access from 4pm and a Duxford in a Different Light event in Hangar 1, where aircraft will be illuminated in coloured lights for unique photography opportunities.
Then, enjoy a priority viewing area, with airside access for the aircraft engine runs and a unique chance to capture these aircraft at night.

Add a guided tour of IWM Duxford's Avro Lancaster to your Fireworks Night experience.
Starting with the design of the aircraft by Roy Chadwick, you will be guided through the bomber’s illustrious history, from the celebrated Dams Raid to the controversy of ‘area bombing’ under Arthur 'Bomber' Harris. Then enter the rear of the fuselage and learn about the heroism of the young men in Bomber Command and the harsh conditions they faced in combat. 4pm to 5pm and 5pm to 6pm.
