Denny Abbey is unique in that it is the only religious site in England to have been occupied at various times by three different monastic orders, before finishing life as a farmhouse. Lived in for almost 800 years, today it is an architectural jigsaw of windows, blocked doorways and arches, all of which tell the fascinating stories of the building’s many occupants.

Returning due to their popularity last season, they are once again offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about the history of Denny Abbey with a free guided tour running on the third Thursday of each month.

Combine your visit with a refreshment stop at The Docky Box Cafe where you will find a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks, sandwiches and ice creams available, plus plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The museum will also be open.

Numbers are limited, so booking is essential to guarantee a place. To book your place visit please click on the link.
