Great Shelford Repair Café and SWISH
Repair Cafés pair up people who have broken stuff with people who enjoy repairing things.
The skilled volunteers can tackle a wide variety of repairs including jewellery, clothes and fabrics, electrical and electronic devices, and other items. The repairers are brilliant and can fix a lot of things but there are no guarantees.
This is a free event but donations are very welcome. Tea and cake will be available of course!
Booking at the repair café is highly recommended to avoid a long wait on the day, and to make things fair they politely request only one item per person. Click on this link to book. Bookings will be open from 5 - 17 February.
This repair café will be combined with a clothes swap (SWISH).
The Cambridgeshire Repair Café Network is administered by Cambridge Carbon Footprint.
Cambridge Carbon Footprint works to raise awareness of climate change issues and to support people in moving to low-carbon living.
If you have a bicycle which needs attention, you don’t have to wait till this event – you can bring it to one of the weekly Dr Bike Stapleford workshops held each Tuesday afternoon from 3pm to 5:30pm at the Old Slaughterhouse on Church Street in Stapleford.
This event is organised by 2G3S (Going Greener in the Shelfords, Stapleford and Sawston).
