Come and look round this stunning working watermill, dating back to the Domesday Book. Guides will show you how the mill works and tell you the history of this incredible building. Children can take part in the popular Where’s Ratty contest and have the chance to win a prize.

Home made cakes and teatime favourites will be served at Hinxton Village Hall in the High Street from 2:30 to 5pm to coincide with the regular open day at the mill.

Owned by local charity Cambridge Past, Present and Future (PPF) and run by dedicated volunteers who are aiming to help boost funds to look after the historic mill, which was saved from demolition in the mid-1980s.

The mill is set in picturesque surroundings on the River Cam, in the village of Hinxton. There are also walks along the river.

No need to book.
