Histon Repair Cafe
Histon and Impington Repair Cafe invites the community to bring broken household items and receive help from skilled volunteers who will work with you to fix them. A wide variety of repairs can be undertaken, including electrical and mechanical items, textiles and clothing for sewing repairs, as well as sharpening, gluing, and woodwork. Volunteers aim to show how repairs are done so that, if the problem occurs again, you might be able to fix it yourself.
In addition to the usual repairs, if you have a computer still running Windows 10 or an older operating system and would like to discuss your options going forwards, they will be offering an interactive presentation explaining the alternatives and how they might be able to assist. Please email for more information.
Booking via this link is highly recommended to avoid long waiting times for walk‑in slots. Guests are asked to bring only one item per person, although a second item may be considered if time allows.
A cafe serving drinks and homemade cakes and goodies will be available throughout the event.
This community initiative is run by HI Sustainability in partnership with Histon Baptist and St Andrew’s Histon Eco Church Groups.
