Join James Thorne (Thorne Wines) and Zigor Cornago of Bodegas Perica to experience the flavours of Spain. 

Bodegas Perica, located in San Asensio, La Rioja Alta, is a family-owned winery with a rich history dating back to 1912. With over 150 hectares of vineyards in the best areas of La Rioja Alta, Bodegas Perica have total control over what they create, which has taken them from local winery to international wine business.

Taste a range of new vintages from the winery, including the outstanding single vineyard Finca Santa Julita. Learn all about Rioja’s newest classification, Viñedo Singular, and what it means for the quality of wines in the region.

Set in the intimate surroundings of the Granary's beautiful bar, the event includes tasting seven wines (two Viñedo Singular), insightful commentary from Zigor and James, delicious tapas/pintxos to complement the wines, and special discounts on your favourite wines.

  Founded in 2017 by James and Ellie Thorne, Thorne Wines is an independent local wine merchant who love to share their family’s passion, know-how and love of wine. James brings years of experience advising wine lovers through retail and private sales and has worked as an assistant winemaker in both South Africa and the UK.
