Spoon Carving Workshop with Blended Monkey
Denny Abbey and The Farmland Museum
Denny Abbey, Ely Road
Waterbeach
Cambridge
CB25 9PQ
The workshop is suitable for ages 14+
Learn to carve a large serving spoon or spatula (or both, if time allows) while seated on your own safe “spoon mule,” designed for comfortable and safe carving. You’ll use a spoke shave to create your own handle design and a curved carving tool to shape the bowl of the spoon. Once you master the tools, let your creativity run wild in this mindful, relaxing, and meditative process.
The workshop will be held in the beautiful gardens of the Farmland Museum, or in the bright and airy classroom if the weather is poor. This hands-on session allows you to use your own equipment.
The fabulous on-site Docky Box Tearoom has some truly scrumptious food to tempt you at lunchtime with plenty of delicious treats, so you won’t go hungry.
See the website for more details and to book, or email Blended Monkey at enquiries@blendedmonkey.co.uk or give them a call on 07417 522366.
Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
