What was Roman life like in the Fens?

Visit the Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey to find out how the Romans farmed the Cambridgeshire Fens and see real objects from their collection and the local areas.

Learn about the Roman Goddess Ceres and her role in the farming year and how the Romans celebrated her and ensured a good harvest.

Make your own Roman mosaic, take part in free craft activities and follow the museum trail!

Combine your visit with a refreshment stop at The Docky Box Cafe where you will find a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks, sandwiches and ice creams available, plus plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
