The Marian Consort in Concert

Led by founder and director Rory McCleery, The Marian Consort is an award-winning British vocal ensemble that presents bold and thrilling performances of music from across the centuries. 

For this concert, The Marian Consort presents a programme of extraordinary beauty and hidden meaning from Renaissance Portugal. This rich polyphonic music is as expressive as it is politically charged, featuring works by Duarte Lobo and Manuel Cardoso. The programme also includes pieces by Vicente Lusitano, now gaining recognition as possibly the first published composer of African heritage.

Pre-concert food will be available to purchase. Ticket holders will be sent an email a week before the date of the concert with details of the menu and information on ordering.
