Enjoy an evening of outdoor theatre as Illyria presents Gilbert and Sullivan's beloved comic opera, The Pirates of Penzance. When Frederick reaches his 21st birthday, he believes he is finally free from his apprenticeship to a band of pirates. However, a loophole in his contract reveals that, having been born on 29th February, he has only celebrated four birthdays and must serve for another 63 years. Can Frederick escape his fate, and will his true love Mabel wait for him?

Performed by a talented six-strong cast with fully orchestrated accompaniment, this witty and timeless production features favourite songs including "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General", "A Policeman's Lot Is Not a Happy One" and "Oh, Better Far to Live and Die".
