🌳 The Wonder of Wood Fair is an annual family-friendly event celebrating the very best of traditional woodworking, craftsmanship and outdoor adventure. Set in a beautiful meadow at Burwash Manor, the fair brings together more than 70 talented woodworkers, artisans and craftspeople from across the region, showcasing handcrafted products and traditional skills.
With a focus on inspiring children to connect with nature 🌿 and spend more time outdoors, the event offers a range of hands-on activities designed to spark creativity and learning away from screens. Visitors can try a variety of crafts, watch live demonstrations and discover the skill behind beautifully handcrafted creations.
Families can browse unique stalls filled with wooden gifts, homewares and artwork, while enjoying locally produced food and drink 🍔☕. Activities include tree climbing 🌳, den building, survival skills sessions, storytelling 📚, circus skills 🎪 and a bale assault course, ensuring plenty of fun for all ages.
With local folk musicians providing the soundtrack 🎶, The Wonder of Wood Fair promises a memorable day of creativity, discovery and outdoor fun for the whole family. ✨
The Wonder of Wood Fair is a collaborative effort between Bex and Tim, owners of Foxcotte and WonderWood, and Duncan of Artisan Structures, and is held at the beautiful Burwash Manor.
