The Red Lion, Hinxton

This historic, Grade II listed building provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying fabulous food and drink, in the company of friends, family and colleagues. Exposed beams, well stoked fires and Chesterfield sofas invite you to stay awhile and relax, while an impressive oak, dry peg extension is an elegant, spacious room in which to dine.

The menu comprises contemporary and traditional dishes, created with culinary flair and using only the freshest, locally sourced seasonal produce.

In the warmer months, the inn’s quintessentially English, Cambridge walled garden is a tranquil setting in which to eat, drink and socialise under the watchful gaze of the dovecote and village church clock tower.

Eight guest rooms have been sympathetically built within the grounds of the inn, to exacting standards. Inside, they present luxury and comfort; all are double en suite, with no compromise on quality or facilities (including direct dial telephone and ethernet/wireless internet access).

The Red Lion is proud to continue to be invited to feature in various listings, particularly The Good Pub Guide, Alastair Sawday and The Epicurean Group publications. Of equal importance to them is their continued annual qualification for 4 AA Stars for accommodation and an AA Rosette for food.
