Darwin Nurseries and Farm Shop

Darwin Nurseries is more than just a farm shop, it’s a place to slow down and enjoy time with family. 

Choose from a wonderful selection of plants, seasonal fruit and vegetables, fresh flowers, cards, and much more. After all that shopping, enjoy freshly baked cakes and pastries in the self-service café, along with hot and cold drinks.

At first glance, it appears to be a farm shop, café, and plant nursery with a lovely picnic area and small animal farm. However, it actually spans 7.5 acres of traditional orchard permaculture, growing spaces, glasshouses, and poly tunnels. Darwin Nurseries takes pride in fostering a kind and supportive environment where both people and plants can thrive.

Owned by the NHS, Darwin Nurseries and Farm Shop offers neurodiverse adults, as well as those with learning disabilities or mental health challenges, the chance to develop life and employability skills. They also benefit from therapeutic horticulture and animal care activities.
